Foster Care Fortnight™ is the UK’s biggest foster care awareness raising campaign, delivered by leading fostering charity, The Fostering Network. Established in 1997, the campaign showcases the commitment, passion and dedication of foster carers. It also supports fostering services to highlight fostering in their local area and the fantastically positive impact fostering is making to the lives of children and young people, including sibling groups, those with disabilities and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. Foster Care Fortnight receives around 900 pieces of media coverage each year, and The Fostering Network is delighted to receive the backing of celebrities and politicians from across the UK who lend their support to our campaign (The Fostering Network).

We are excited to announce that Sunbeam Fostering Agency is taking part in this fostering campaign. The campaign is usually takes place in May every year. The campaign has different theme every year. Its main focus is to highlight the real-life contributions of those involved in foster care.

Foster Care Fortnight is an annual event which takes place in May. It is something that Sunbeam Fostering Agency enjoy getting involved in. The campaign helps to demonstrate all the hard work and commitment that our fantastic foster carers put in each and every day. The fortnight also allows us to get involved with different activities and have a different theme each day. During the campaign every year year, we are presenting an array of different subjects around fostering and Sunbeam Fostering Agency. Sunbeam Fostering Agency is usually running competitions for foster carers and children and young people.

We understand that this year the campaign is due to be slightly different due to the current covid-19 pandemic. However, we are looking forward to getting involved online and sharing some great content with you!

There are several ways to get involved in Foster Care Fortnight 2020. It might be simply wearing a sticker or use Twibbon or you might want to take a placard picture or organise a fundraising event or pass on the message to others, whatever you want to do we’ll support you.
