Ideas for you and your family this summer holiday
As lockdown restrictions have lifted and life begins to resume as normal, you may be thinking of some fun ways and activities you can do with your family during the summer holidays. We are here to help give you some great ideas!
Have a holiday themed day
Although getting away for some much-needed sun may be a challenge this year, why not have a holiday themed day at home? Pick your families favourite holiday destination and recreate it at home! You could get the whole family involved making some traditional food and learning some of the local language.
Take a trip out to your local zoo
Across the country are some fantastic zoos and wildlife parks. From London Zoo to Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable. Take a family day out to go and see what wildlife and animals you can spot. This is a great educational day out for your children and great fun for the whole family
Spa day at home
Everyone needs time to relax and wind down. So having a family spa day at home is the perfect chill out opportunity.
Go Ape
If you are looking for a fun active day out, why not visit your local Go Ape and spend a day in the trees! Go Ape offers lots of fun activities. Find your nearest Go Ape by clicking here
Go camping in the garden
With lots of staycations taking place this year it might be a challenge trying to find somewhere to go camping. But why not go camping in your garden. You can set up some fairy lights, tell some stories and get some late-night snacks!
Have a picnic
You could pop down to your local park or sit out in your garden when the sun is shinning and enjoy a family picnic. Get together all your favourite foods and treats and enjoy some quality time outside in the fresh air.
Go Swimming
Why not pop down to your local indoor, outdoor or waterpark to cool off when its hot outside. A day swimming can be lots of fun for the whole families, the perfect time to improve your swimming skills.
Visit museums
Research some museums near you or ones you would like to visit. Chances are there will also be a few free museums for you to check out.
Host a bake off
Host a bake off with family and friends, this is a great activity that can get everyone involved and remaining some safe social distance. You could get your friends involved by getting everyone to bake treats and meet up at your local park to host a bake off.
Host a games day/night
Catch up with friends and family members you may not have seen for a while and have a safe, socially distanced games day/night. Everyone can bring a board game or games to play. This can be great fun for all the family and a great way to have a well-deserved catch up.
