Foster Carer

We are still recruiting foster carers

Across the globe we have all been effected with troubles of the coronavirus, with lockdown and limitations on what we can and cannot do, it has been a challenging time for everyone. Unfortunately, one thing that has not changed is the fact children and young people are still entering the care system and need to be placed in a safe and loveable environment. At Sunbeam Fostering Agency, we are ensuring that operations still run as normal to ensure our children, young people and foster carers receive the support and guidance that they deserve. We have ensured that our technology and health and safety standards are up to date and the best it can possibly be to ensure our recruitment team can still respond to enquires as quickly and efficiently as possible, and ensuring we are processing applications so people can become foster carers and help children in need.

We need foster carers from a wide range of backgrounds, races and religion. This is because all children have their own unique and individual background and heritage. You do not need to be married, own a house or have children of your own. We aim to ensure that each child’s needs are met and matched as closely as possible.

Applicants will need the following:

  • A spare bedroom
  • Plenty of physical and emotional stamina
  • All trainings and support will be provided to you

Sunbeam Fostering Agency ensure that all applicants are supported through the process with our highly trained recruitment team members, you will be given 24/7 support 365 days a year with outstanding help & support.

If you are interested in fostering, or would like to know some more information about how you could make a positive difference to a child or young person’s life, please contact our recruitment team on 02087 990 930 or click here for more information.

Testimonials

This job is probably one of my favourites. Every day is different, every day has new challenges and every day has new rewards. It’s not always easy but each challenge you go through with the child bonds you and makes you both stronger for each other.

We have been fostering for the last 8 years and feel proud to be a part of the Sunbeam family. At the beginning, we thought it’s a tough job, but the skills to foster initial training and the whole assessment procedure to become a carer was interesting, and it gave us both a broad insight into both the tough and rewarding side of what we were likely to encounter.

“Fostering is a rewarding experience as it allows you to actually make a difference for a child/young person. I feel happy being able to make such a difference whether it is for one day or several years.”

“When they told me that I had been approved for fostering, well I just cried. I was an emotional wreck and was so happy that I just couldn’t hold back my very, very, happy tears.”
