Foster Care Fortnight 2023 with Sunbeam Fostering

As Foster Care Fortnight 2023 commences, we embark on a journey to highlight the theme of “Fostering Communities.” This year’s campaign aims to inspire and empower foster carers to actively participate in building strong and supportive fostering communities. By fostering a sense of belonging, collaboration, and shared responsibility, foster carers can contribute to the growth and well-being of the fostering communities they are a part of.

We are excited to announce that we will be showing our support and taking part in raising awareness around fostering and the need for more foster carers. At Sunbeam Fostering Agency, we care for the safety and welfare of all our children and young people, ensuring that they have the most positive outcomes as possible with the support and guidance from their foster carers.

Throughout the Foster Care Fortnight campaign, we will be getting involved each day on our social media platforms. We have a theme for each day that everyone can get involved with. We will be sharing a range of different medias, from stories and written pieces to videos and an array of different graphics. We want to help raise as much awareness around the campaign and show our appreciation to our foster carers for their continuous hard work and dedication, especially through these difficult times.

Here are some effective ways how foster carers can engage and make a positive impact during Foster Care Fortnight 2023.

Share Your Experiences:

Each foster carer has a unique story and valuable experiences to share. During Foster Care Fortnight, consider sharing your foster care journey with others through blog posts, social media, or community gatherings. By openly discussing the challenges, triumphs, and lessons learned, you can inspire and educate others who may be considering or embarking on their own foster care journey. Your insights and stories can contribute to raising awareness and dispelling misconceptions about foster care while fostering a supportive and informed community.

Advocate for Foster Care:

Foster carers have a unique perspective and first-hand experience of the challenges and rewards of foster care. Use your voice to advocate for foster care and the needs of foster children and families. Talk to families in your locality, share informative content on social media, or participate in awareness campaigns. By raising public awareness and highlighting the importance of foster care, foster carers can actively contribute to the growth and development of fostering communities.

Become a Foster Carer with us
