Things you can do with your family in Luton and surrounding areas this summer!

We know it can be difficult thinking of some ideas to help keep your family entertained over the summer holidays or even just on weekends. So, we are here to share some fun family outings in Luton and surrounding areas that you and your family can enjoy this summer!

Wardown Park – Luton

Wardown Park is situated on the River Lea in Luton. The Park has various sporting facilities and is home to the Wardown Park Museum, with plenty of garden grounds for you and your family to explore. Why not pack a picnic with all your favourite goodies and enjoy spending some quality time together in the great outdoors? Wardown Park is in walking distance of Luton Town Centre. Woodside Animal Farm and Leisure Park – Luton

Do your children have a love for animals? If so, Woodside Animal Farm and Leisure Park could be the perfect day out for your family! Gulliver’s Land Theme Park Resort – Milton Keynes

For an action-packed day out, you could visit Gulliver’s Land Theme Park Resort. The theme park is filled with different rides suitable for a wide range of ages. The Park also has places to eat, play areas and plenty more. The Park is in Milton Keynes with easy access to public transport, the park also has its own car park. Our Sunbeam Pride team recently took a trip with our foster carers, children and young people to Gulliver’s Land Theme Park Resort, and everybody enjoyed the day! Snozone – Milton Keynes

Snozone is an indoor snow slope offering skiing and snow boarding lessons for children and young people. You could watch your children and young people play on the slopes or you could all get involved together. Snozone is Milton Keynes is conveniently located at the Xscape centre just a few minutes from Junction 14 of the M1. The Canal Museum, Stoke Bruerne – Northamptonshire

The Canal Museum at Stoke Bruerne, is a canal museum located next to the Grand Union Canal just south of the Blisworth Tunnel, near the village of Stoke Bruerne in Northamptonshire. It is about 10 miles north of Milton Keynes and 7 miles south of Northampton near junction 15 of the M1 motorway. The Canal Museum offers a fascinating insight into the rich waterway heritage of Stoke Bruerne and the Grand Union Canal and the people that lived and worked on them. Boost Trampoline Park – Northampton

Time for the kids to get bouncing off the walls with Boost Trampoline Park in Northampton. The Park offer lots of different events suitable for children and young people of different ages, click here to see their latest timetable. The Trampoline Park also has an area for you to grab a coffee and maybe something to eat whilst you watch your children play on the trampolines!

Bike Tours – Cambridge

Cambridge Bike Tours offers guided cycle tours around some of the city’s main attractions, such as King’s College Chapel. You’ll ride at an easy pace, in a small group. Bikes are provided for children aged 6 and over. The tour is located on 6 Elm Street, Cambridge CB1 1EJ. This is a fantastic day out full of exercise and beautiful scenic routes. Everyone loves a game of bowling, and this is the perfect activity for the whole family to get involved with. Tenpin Cambridge is the perfect place to go bowling!
